have to do would be to ask Jesus into one's heart and then you'd be right to go and could continue being an atheist or whatever, safe in the knowledge that your salvation was taken care of in the offchance that it was actually true. It would take but a moment of your time, especially since no on e can save themselves and it's all up to God to do the legwork.
