I have 1994 jeep that smokes when I get to 60mph?

I just put oil in my 1994 jeep Cherokee but I put in 5w30 instead of10w30 and since when I drive the car will sputter lose power momentarily and smokes out of the back. It happens at around 60mph could it be the wrong oil thats doing it? it is also cold outside like 25 degrees.
