Can my ex pull out of the divorce proceedings once filed?

we broke up amicably and have good contact with each other.he has signed the divorce petition/agreement that was served and i had to go court and swear the 'afferdavid' (not sure how to spell it) a few weeks before xmas. i recieved commincation stating my absolute decree would be issued on or around 19jan which then i can file for the absolute. my query is can he still pull out at this stage or has it gone too far. (i have a new partner and not sure if he'd do it for spite once he found out)
