Curly hair.Blow dry straightt only 1x a week.Is this still 2much heat?Am i still causing 2much damag/breakage?

Doesn't sound too harsh. Do you use any products before blowdrying and straightening that will protect the hair shaft? Two products I really like is 1) the leave in conditioner/shine spray by Shuga and 2) Paul Mitchell's spray wax, which you spray on your hair right before you straight iron it. These products help protect your hair from the heat and stress caused by blowdrying and straightening it. You could also look for a shampoo and conditioner that will help strengthen it.
