I don't like the guy I'm taking to my debs (prom)?

I made a pact with this guy that if neither of us found dates for our debs then we'd take each other as friends. Now he seems to think its permanent and we're each going to each others' debs. But I would like to take a guy that I like to my debs and have a good night out. I like this guy's personality but I don't like him physically. Should I take him anyway or try to find someone I'm attracted to?
